This Privacy Policy explains how Daily Bible Trivia ("the App", "we", "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the app on your phone or tablet. It applies to everyone who opens the App, including guest accounts created automatically the first time you tap "Start Journey."
Account & profile information. When you use the App we create an account for you — as a guest at first, or with an email and password if you choose to register. Depending on what you fill in on the "Personalize your account" screen or later in Settings, this can include your name or handle, email address, country, preferred language, a short "about" bio, church name, favorite Bible verse, and either a profile photo or an emoji avatar (we show a default smiley if you skip this entirely).
Prayer Wall content. Anything you post to the Prayer Wall — text, photos, or a linked video — is stored on our servers and shown to other users in your selected country, along with comments, likes, and reactions on posts (yours and others').
Trivia activity. We record which daily questions you've answered, whether you got them right, your streak, and your score, so we can show your progress and leaderboard standing.
Device & push-notification data. We store a device token (via Firebase Cloud Messaging) so we can send you notifications you've opted into — daily question reminders, likes, comments, and group activity. You can turn each notification type off in Settings.
Microphone (dictation). If you use the microphone button when writing a prayer request, your speech is converted to text using your phone's own built-in speech-recognition service (Apple's or Google's, depending on your device) — we never receive or store audio, only the text you choose to post.
Camera (QR code scanning). Joining a group by scanning a QR code uses your camera only to read the code on-screen; we don't capture or store camera images.
Advertising identifiers. The App shows ads served by Google AdMob. Google may collect device and advertising identifiers to select and measure ads — see Google's Privacy Policy for what Google itself collects. You can manage ad personalization in your device's ad settings.
Purchase information. If you buy the ad-free/Pro upgrade, the purchase is handled entirely by the Apple App Store or Google Play — we receive confirmation that you're a Pro subscriber, never your card or payment details.
Other users. Your Prayer Wall posts, comments, and reactions are visible to other users in the same country as you selected — that's the point of the feature, so don't post anything you wouldn't want a stranger from your country to see.
Service providers. We use Google Firebase for push notifications, Google AdMob for advertising, and Apple/Google's own app stores for handling Pro purchases. Each of these processes a limited amount of data on our behalf, governed by their own privacy policies.
We do not sell your personal information.
We keep your account and content for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by emailing manorldsapiens@gmail.com. Some information may be retained briefly afterward where we're required to by law, or to resolve disputes and enforce our agreements.
The App is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at the address above so we can remove it.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA — contact us and we'll do our best to help.
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections and hashed passwords. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the App.
